"Consultant was informative and considerate"

I have recently been to Northern General Hospital twice, once as a day patient for a rectal operation and once overnight for a follow up. On both occasions, the consultant was excellent, being informative and considerate. The nursing staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and cheerful. My only complaint is in regard of another patient who had come in for an operation who was seen by both nurses and a consultant in readiness for his operation and even down to being dressed in a theatre gown. Then for the 5th consecutive time, his operation was cancelled and he was sent home. If I could have changed that situation, I would.
