The 111 service has been an anchor for me. It’s a safe haven if you have no-one else around. I’ve used it on one or two occasions, and it gives me a feeling of safety when I’m ill and I don’t know where to turn. Sometimes if you phone for an ambulance, you end up going to A&E, but with the 111 service a doctor can visit you and see how you are. This can help avoid the trip to hospital.
