"tooth removal"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I atttended the maxillary facial theatre for the removal of an unerupted canine tooth. The theatre arrivals team were fantastic and even sat talking to me as i was the last patient to go to theatre. Upon arrival on the day ward after, i was sent home without written instruction for medication or aftercare. i was advised that i would receive a phone call to enquire how i was but this did not happen. Four months later my dentist has still not received any correspondence to indicate what they did even though he has requested this.

Dear Gaynor, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are really pleased that you were happy with the care your received from the theatres and max fax team, we have passed this onto the service. However, we are incredibly sorry that neither you or your GP have received the correct follow-up information. Please call the Medical Secretary team on 0116 258 5300 with further information (your full name, DOB etc) – they have your comment from NHS Choices so please make reference to this when you call. Best wishes and Merry Christmas Communications Team Leicester’s Hospitals
