"A&E"

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital

I witnessed patients walking out of A&E after three and a half hours wait untreated. In one case a patient with a rare heart condition was left untreated for three and a half hours without pain relief and never saw a Doctor. Doors to examination rooms were left open with the patient naked. I over heard one patient say he would rather Die than stay any longer in A&E and walked out. I found the staff uncaring, the patients complaining with justification and patients requiring medical attention left untreated. One member of staff told a patient from outside Darlington, "if you go home now, don't come back, because we will not treat you". I also saw Ambulance men put a second patient into a room were another patient was under examination and naked. Would I tell people to go to Darlington Memorial Hospital the answer is no. If you have a heart condition I would suggest don't go to the hospital get in touch with the contact in Darlington for the Mayo Clinic USA, you will get treatment. I have heard of several Doctors in Darlington telling patients not to go to the hospital
