It took five years to finally get the operation I needed at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. Then I needed to be accepted for funding which I find unacceptable. The only excuse for this seems to me to be that I am male! I was under the impression that a lump in any ones chest would be a priority for the NHS. That said, I was happy with the care I got when I finally got it!
