My daughter was born in December 2011 with DDH. This was not picked up at her 6 week check at the doctors surgery. It was only a year later that we went back to the surgery with concerns about her possibly limping that the doctor referred her for diagnosis and treatment.
As it was diagnosed so late we had no option other than surgery in November 2013. She now has to have surgery again in April 2015.
I am very upset that the condition was missed originally and I hope the doctor in question was made aware of it so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
