My wife was admitted to ward 228 at the royal stoke uhns after having brain surgery at Leeds LGI as we were on holiday at the time.
Since being on ward 228 the communication or more to the point LACK of it has been appalling. My wife I was told was just being taken to theatre as I was ringing for another op which I heard about purely by chance, was not approached by anyone, they told me ring back in 2 hrs see if she was back on ward. I did so only to be told op was cancelled and she was sent back to ward, by this time it was to late to visit so she had no one.
