I was transfered from Grimsby hospital,at 11.30 at night and was admitted to hri was suffering from traumatized slipped disc and sciatic pai.Was told would be having surgery on the Thursday and I thought great pain relief at long last.When the consultant came round in the morning he more or less said that I would have to wait as there where more pressing cases,not impressed by this, they where going to send me home I can't really remember what happened after that I was in so much pain, they finally did the operation on Friday and I woke you pain free.The consultant didn't really go into much detail about what was done, and wanted to discharge me on the Saturday which I was not impressed with so I refused but went home Sunday after some lovely advice from the physiotherapist. I was given no info about when to drive or how long to rest or when I should start normal routine. I was dismayed about this. The nurses where brill, they could not have been more helpful. ON the other hand I had an issue with one of the assistants,when I was moved to a single room I had a drip attached to my hand and they got the machine stuck in the door way and kept tugging just about ripping the needle out of my hand,luckily the nurse at th other end of the bed saw this,and had to tell them twice what was happening. The food is terrible hardly had anything to eat in a week,from one hospital to another.
