"Experience of A&E"

About: Tameside General Hospital

Took my Mum to A&E at Tameside Hosp on GP's advice. Waiting time at Reception was not bad at 30 minutes. Triage set up ECG and X-ray procedures. ECG happened quickly but X-raying took a couple of hours. She was seen at various stages by two doctors and a consultant. She was admitted for assessment. The waiting was unfortunate but all the staff were professional yet very friendly.

Thank you for your positive comments regarding your mother’s treatment in A/E. We are continually trying to improve the waiting time we are working with our colleagues in radiography to try and reduce the waiting times for x-rays.

Thank you again

We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed.
