"Friendliness of staff was exceptional"

The friendliness of the staff on ward 34E at BDGH was exceptional, but this did not detract them from their helpfulness and nursing abilities, which were excellent. The only complaint I have is that on my day of discharge all the relevant criteria for discharge had been attained before 10.30am except a doctors signature! This was not obtained until approximately 6pm. I’ve consoled myself with the fact that all the doctors on duty were in the operations theatre and could not be contacted! Even so it was very frustrating, for myself and relatives who were on standby waiting for a phone call to say I could come home immediately.
