"The care was nothing short of outstanding"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care (Wards 21-24)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was born at 36 weeks and 6 days in Wishaw General Hospital. He suffered from low blood sugars and needed some assistance with his breathing and when he was transferred to the neo natal unit the care he received was nothing short of outstanding.

Every single person who was looking after him showed how much they cared about their job and this was hugely comforting when we had to go away and leave him there on his own for a few days

In the meantime my wife was receiving excellent care in Ward 22 and in particular from a midwife called Anne.

Thank you so much for your email I am glad to hear you had such excellent care during your stay both in the Maternity unit and Neonatal unit.

Please be assured that I will pass your comments to staff in both areas.

Hope you are both doing well.

Kind Regards

Lyn
