A routine dental appointment went horribly wrong as my son who has ADHD/Austism had a massive outburst whilst in the waiting room. My sons outbursts are very physical he punches, slaps, kicks and shouts at me, and the more people stare the worse his behaviour gets. The dental nurse at the reception desk hurried the dentist along and not only tried to calm my son, but also comforted and supported me in this very emotional state I found myself in.
The staff were fantastic as my son had a huge outburst in the room punching myself in the face and swearing. I found the lack of judgement regarding my parenting skills and his behaviour so refreshing. I really appreciated it. Thank you.
