I was admitted to the Royal Hallamshire over Easter weekend and due to staff shortages, there were delays in being seen by a nurse or doctor. On the night I was admitted (Friday evening) they dealt with me efficiently but the following two days there were delays which seemed unavoidable. I only stayed for two days but during this time the standard of nursing care was excellent. I never had to ask for anything. They were attentive and efficient and treated me with respect. I returned to the Hallamshire after the holidays to complete the treatment (for a suspected blood clot) and found the nurses and doctors to be equally as efficient and polite. Every time I have received treatment within the NHS I have been satisfied. I wouldn’t say it was outstanding but very good. The food during my stay was passable but not the standard that I would cook for myself. Car parking was also a problem but this is a problem everywhere. In general, I am happy with the care I received and think the nurses and doctors at the Hallamshire are doing a great job.
"Staff at Hallamshire very good!"
