My daughter has been an outpatient for her eyes and epilepsy. In March this year I received a change in appointment letter and the between March and September I received 7 more for the same appointment I went by the latest dated letter and attended the orthoptics clinic at the end of September as by instructed on the 8th changed appointment letter when I arrived I was told she had missed 4 apps and she didn't have one on that day even though I handed them the letter to which they kept and told me she had been discharged. Then her consultant in children's outpatients who I had made aware of the issues surrounding the orthoptics department sent a letter to my health visitor saying they were worried about all the missed appointments. So I called up the children's outpatients department upset wanting to know why the consultant had done this after they had already been made aware. I wasn't given a proper reason and left the conversation still upset at mine and my daughters treatment. To then be told later by the health visitor that following my conversation with them they actually filled a cause for concern for care of children about me because I'd been abrupt (apparently on the phone) I am physically disgusted and my daughters care will now be moved to a better hospital out of the district.
