On Tuesday 2nd December 2014 I attended the Day Surgery Unit (DSU) with my wife who was to undergo an Endoscopy procedure that day. In this day and age we are quick to complain but tardy in recognising good attentive service I also speak as a retired Healthcare Professional. Having spent much time this year as a patient in all 3 major hospitals in Hampshire it was a pleasure to attend the Andover Memorial Hospital and accompany my wife through the DSU and we must say thank you to all staff for their kind attention, explanation and care during the stay, even the NHS Lunch box (no plastic toy though). If I may mention staff on the DSU and award 5* to all. The Memorial Hospital being smaller than the large hospital trusts has an air of calm about it that contributes to a carefree visit. Thank you.
