"awful care of my dear dad"

We as a family were left frustrated and concerned about my dad's care will staying on ward 7, we were scared to leave him as he was left without pain relief, his saline drip was not changed regularly and he was very dehydrated. my dad was diagnosed with cancer there and no one seemed bothered, the nurse barely gave me a minute, our lives were devastated and it was just another patient who clearly meant nothing. nurses would do anything but give you eye contact in case you asked for anything. My wonderful dad who worked hard all his life deserved the best NHS treatment and he was let down badly by too much waiting for tests, poor communication between consultants, nurses and domestic staff. He passed away at the hospital and I can't help feeling so let down. We can never change this awful experience and I will never forget how little support that nurse gave me at the saddest moment in my life. I just do not want any other family to got through what our family did. You should feel confident to leave a loved one in hospital and be cared for properly not left without pain relief and having to call the family to help them. Please do something to change this because it just isn't good enough.
