"on behalf of my daughter"

I have already put in a formal complaint as I am unhappy about the lack of care and respect given to my daughter who is a patient at this hospital. Most of the staff don't seem to care - probably become anaesthetised and only see numbers not individual people with myriad needs. My daughter is intelligent and articulate but has been spoken to in a very patronising manner and there has been no consideration given to her since being moved (with no prior discussion with her or her family members) from Saint George's Hospital to Tamworth. This has set her back significantly and was done not for her benefit but for the benefit of 'the system'. My daughter is ill, that's why she is in hospital, and she deserves to be respected and cared for as do all the patients in any hospital. I will say that a few of the staff are OK and do seem caring but, unfortunately, they are in the minority. I wonder if some of them think they are prison warders rather than mental health nurses or health care assistants. They are supposed to be professionals but have no empathy whatsoever with their patients or the families of patients. To see one's child in the grip of a mental health illness is the worst feeling in the world If the staff at George Bryan were in my situation maybe they would have a better understanding but, as it is, they have absolutely no idea.
