"Right Total Hip Replacement"

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

Surgery Admission 15/11/14 - Discharge 19/11/14 From the moment I entered St Cross Ward (feeling anxious) I received exceptional treatment from everyone I encountered: A big thank you to my fantastic Surgeon who made me feel confident and relaxed, talking me through every aspect of my operation. He even rang my Husband after he had finished my procedure to let him know how I was. His Registrars were also very helpful and informative during my stay. I would also like to say another big thank you to all the staff - Nurses, Doctors, Care Assistants, my Physio-Therapists who were very encouraging and patient, Occupational Therapists, Radiologist, Ladies who brought water and hot drinks every day, and the Porters. They all were very encouraging and kind. The food was tasty too with a good variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And I was able to choose a small or large portion size for lunch and dinner. I would happily come back to St Cross Ward if I needed to, and have told my family and friends how happy I was during my stay. Once again a very big thank you to everyone involved during my stay. Emma Carter Age 44

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment on NHS Choices. It is always great to get positive feedback from patients on the care and treatment they have received. I will ensure that these kind words are passed onto the staff on St Cross Ward, who I’m sure will be greatly encouraged by them. Mary Edwards, Chief Executive Email: mary.edwards@hhft.nhs.uk
