"A&E"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

I went to A@E after 3 h of vomiting and feeling unable to stand or walk. I am 33 weeks pregnant and I thought the initial evaluation the nurse did was superficial and dismissive. ('I will have the nurse specialist see you, other than that here we are very busy..'). Specialist nurse was more helpful.

Thanks for writing in! We are so sorry that you found a nurse to be dismissive. Please be assured that we will of course pass your comments on to the Emergency Department for information and learning. However, if you would like to discuss this further with someone, then please contact our Patient, Advice and Liaison Service on 0800 9176039 or via email at PHT.Pals@porthosp.nhs.uk as they would be more than happy to have a chat with you about this.
