"Biopsy"

About: Broomfield Hospital

I had to have a biopsy yesterday. I went with my husband for support. I was disappointed that I didn't see the consultant that I should seen. The doctor reluctantly let my husband stay prior to the procedure. We both had great difficulty to understand what the doctor was saying and had to ask the doctor to repeatedly say things again and we still often couldn't understand. The remarks on the consent form are impossible to read the writing is so bad. We can't even read the doctor's name. I was already stressed and this did nothing to help me. The doctors for my initial consultation 4weeks ago were so kind and thoughtful. I came away feeling very upset yesterday and I still feel very tearful. The biopsy was on my nose and I am very concerned about how it will look when the stitch comes out. The doctor was brusque and did nothing to allay my fears probably due to the language problems.
