"Why I feel neglected by my neurologist"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

I have written once to my neurologist on the basis of a number of issues: informing me of a change in the time of my appointment by letter, postdated after the appointment; discharging me from the clinic for no reason that I can find; when asked about LDN telling me that he had "something better" for me which was FTY 720 and has, 4 months on, yet to manifest itself.

My GP has written to my neurologist at least twice, being reluctant to prescribe things to me without his say so. These letters have had no reply.

My neurologist has not replied to my letter, has told me that I shouldn't try to get resolution by phone and has left me feeling that he is not interested in either me or my condition.

I was dagnosed with primary progressive MS 2 years ago. Since then there seems to have been no effort by my neurologist to ameliorate my condition or to reply to any correspondance which might enable that.
