This is my second time giving birth at musgrove and while the first time 3 yrs ago went off with out a hitch and all the staff were brilliant that time. This time was not a smooth process, through no fault of the hospital i must add. I arrived and was admitted to bracken birth centre and was made very comfy and welcome but after a quick examination it was discovered that my baby was breach. This started in motion the great wheels of the nhs and in no time i was on the labour ward with a new and brilliant midwife, i was talked through every stage and option and was listened to when i hqd questions and concerns. I was abl to hqve scana and was given all the info need to make a big and scary desicion. To have ac section or try to give birth feet first. The consultant was excellent and very understanding i felt supported all the way through and after she attempted EVC to t4y and turn the baby the decision was made for me. The team who performed the c section were absolutely brilliant. I was so scared and they did their best to make it quick, safe and very professional while managing to put me at ease. My recovery on the labour ward and then on willow was amazing, i felt so well cared for and all the care staff and maternity staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and at ease. So a huge thank to everyone who made sure Baby Luna had a safe entrance into the world.
"fantastic maternity services"
