"Ban smokers full stop"

About: The James Cook University Hospital

I have had several admissions due to having brittle asthma which usually results in me going straight to resus and onto ITU. On one occassion when I was admitted onto AAU (ward 1) when a patient who was in the next bed to me went out for a smoke and when she returned I could smell the smoke which triggerd a bad asthma attack. Overall I am very happy with the care I have recieved from all staff at JCUH and the ambulance service.
