"Craino surgery"

About: Birmingham Children's Hospital

Our youngest daughter was referred to bch for surgery. We met the craino facial nurse Specialist after our daughter had her first M.I.R scan when she was Around 3 and half months old. From the moment of meeting the craino team and the cranio specialist nurse, we were made to feel welcomed, the craino facial team always informed us of what was going on and were always happy to answer any questions/concerns we had, even if the team had probably heard the same questions/concerns time and time again by other parents. The team made us feel at ease even tho we very concerned for our daughter on the day of her operation. The team were very supportive and nothing seemed to be to much trouble for them to aid your stay and childs. Even when we visit the hospital for our daughters check ups the team always make us feel welcomed. An excellent team and the staff on ward 10. And we would always recommend people in the same circumstances as ours to get referred to BCH. Keep up the good work :)

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We always strive to deliver the best care we can, for all children and young people and it is always lovely to hear such positive feedback. I will share it with the cranio-facial team and ward 10 who I know will be delighted to read it too. I hope your daughter continues to do well. With kind regards, Janette Vyse Lead Nurse
