"Very poor"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Well after 10 hours in A&E still had no bed for me. But wanted me to wait to see cardiologist in the morning. The had so few staff, ambulance paramedics had to stay and help out. No wonder Chatham Maritime Hospital is in special measures. So came home as I can get better care at home

I do apologise for the length of time it took for you to be seen in our A&E department, our aim is for every patient to be seen by a nurse within 15 minutes of arrival and by a doctor or treating nurse within an hour. The hospital is working hard to improve the operational processes to improve patient flow and capacity through the hospital. Katy White Head of Nursing, Emergency Department
