"Heart attack whilst carrying out ministry work"

About: Northern General Hospital / Cardiology Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust

(as the patient),

I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and was out with friends carrying our ministry work. I was suffering what I thought was a build up of wind and did quite a lot of burping, but then I felt pain under my arms. My friends took me straight to my GP surgery who checked my blood pressure, pulse etc. which seemed quite normal. Paramedics then arrived and checked me over, then the ambulance arrived and they also checked and everything seemed normal. The ambulance men then, I believe contacted the hospital and within minutes I was at the Northern General Hospital where I was checked, diagnosed and treated immediately for a heart attack. I was told they had inserted three stents into my blocked artery. I am now attending cardiac rehabilitation classes and exercise classes. How very grateful I am.
