"a&e is a joke"

I arrived at a&e and was met by an aggressive and very unhelpful member of staff. I sat down and started waiting. Hearing the other patients there I quickly knew the waiting time to initially be seen by a doctor was well over 3.5 hours. But I stayed assuming triarge would at least happen in a reasonable time frame. Nope. After waiting over an hour I left risking that what I went in for (possible fourth stroke after fall) was not going to get worse. I also rationalized that calling an ambulance from home if I got worse would actually get me quicker treatment.
