"Urology"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

I was told in April of 2014 that I had bladder cancer. Wow, what a bad day! I was admitted to day surgery 4 weeks later and then ward 26U after my TURTB for chemo and recovery. I spent 3 days on the ward before being allowed home during that time I was given what I can only describe as fantastic care by all the staff on the ward. Before the operation my consultant talked me through what they would do, when and how, the anaesthetist came to explain and to put my mind at rest. I've now had TURTB number 2 with a biopsy in between while I can't say I have enjoyed the last 6 months its certainly been made easy by the treatment and care given by all concerned. I don't think I'll ever be able to say thank you enough but once again thank RSH your great
