Had complex highly skilled airways surgery at UCLH, consultants first class. Shame the nursing care was so dreadful. Taking canular out, my blood was sucked up into the drip then sprayed across the cubicle and up the dividing curtains and down the bedding. Cleaning was limited to smearing the blood with a tissue. No wonder infections are rife! Nurses then determined to keep me in overnight even though consultants had discharged me. No wonder theres no beds free & waiting lists.
