"Minor injury unit - Burn"

I stupidly burnt the entire palm of my hand checking if I had turned the hotplate off! I hadn't so had a very badly burnt hand. the minor injuries unit was fantastic, even though they where seeing someone else they straight away put my hand in iced water until they could deal with me . They dealt with me in a sympathetic manner even though it was my own stupid fault. My hand was coated in the special anti burn cream (works incredibly well - no pain) and bagged up and secured, I returned the next day for further treatment. The nurse who treated me was very good. A brilliant local hospital.
