"I met some lovely new people"

About: Titchfield Children's Centre

(as a parent/guardian),

I was given a leaflet in my daughters school playground one morning and decided to attend a local parents meeting to see what was happening in the local community and meet some new people. I was a little nervous at first but as I was pregnant and had some time on my hands I wanted to get out and about.

The meeting was interesting and I learnt lots of skills over the next few years how to plan fund and promote events and activities to the community and also I met some lovely new people who to this day I still see on a regular basis. We as a parents group "friends of titchfield and Oakham" have organised Easter Christmas and Halloween events also cake decorating, sports events at local parks and this had helped with my confidence and team building skills.

Thank you for sharing your expereince, it is really nice to read how you have developed over the years and how you now give back to the community. As a centre we are so proud of the work that FOTO group have and continue to do and hope that we continue to work together in the future to meet the needs of the local community.

Many thanks
