My daughter was referred to Batley Health Centre from our dentists to have some teeth taken out because she is a bit nervous and we decided it was best for her to be asleep.
The wait was a long time for the operation, and the soonest we could get it done was Christmas week. I got a phone call on friday telling me there was a cancellation for today if we could go. When we got there the nurse explained what would happen.
We had to wait until nearly the end of the list but the nurse told us this was because she was one of the oldest, which is fair enough. When it was her turn, she talked to her all the way to the operating room, and even held her hand when she went to sleep. This was lovely as me and her mum were in pieces!
The Dr was so lovely. Talking to her and reassuring her, until she went to sleep. Then we went into a side room where the nurse consoled my wife who was in a right state. She must have thought we were mad! She then came to get us after she woke up and we saw the Dr and 2 other nurses, again who were great with our daughter. I can't remember any of the nurses names, although the first nurse did tell us, but we would like to thank them for the care and concern at looking after our daughter.
