"Excellent care of my sister"

My sister has recently moved back to the North East and needs ongoing care. She has had several appointments at many different departments including diabetes, pain clinic, ultrasound, phlebotomy and gynaecology. Absolutely everyone she has come into contact with have been caring, compassionate, open, honest, preserving her dignity and respecting her wishes at all times. This is the 6Cs at its very best! We are particularly impressed with the speed at which she has received initial appointments with prompt onward referral to other specialities. One of the diabetes specialist nurse has given so much help and support, with the result that my sister's diabetes is finally becoming manageable for, but more importantly understood by her. I would highly recommend this hospital and all the experts my sister has had contact with. This is a complete contrast to what we consider sub-optimal and often neglectful treatment she received at her previous local and regional hospitals. Well done and a very big thank you to everyone concerned at this very friendly local hospital.
