"I would like to thank them all for making this a positive experience for me"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

I attended Ward 17 at DGRI this week for eye surgery. Throughout my short stay, all staff were efficient and friendly. The whole process was smooth and uneventful with staff conducting themselves in a professional and reassuring manner. Even a minor op can be anxiety provoking. I would like to thank them all for making this a positive experience for me.

Dear Mrs Eye Dunn

I was delighted to read you had such a positive experience during your admission to Ward 17..

NHS Dumfries & Galloway staff always aim to ensure everyone receives quality care and remain mindful any procedure can be daunting and cause anxiety. Eyes are very precious and it is never pleasant having someone treatment on such a sensitive, delicate structure.

I will pass your comments on to the Senior Charge Nurse, nursing and medical staff on Ward 17.

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your admission to DGRI, your support and gratitude will mean a great deal.

With all best wishes for a good Xmas and a healthy 2015

kind regards

Hilary
