"Great commitment from all staff"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a relative),

Thanks for treating my father so promptly after he had visited the optician and sent to your unit as an Urgent case after suffering from a detached retina. He didn't even tell me or my mother he was at the hospital. He is such a independent man he also took the bus home after laser treatment.

I believe that he would have went to Ninewells hence you had a cancellation and took him straight away at QMH. You saved me a trip to Dundee and also the possible sight in his right eye. Great commitment from all staff in your unit.

I know pressures the service can be being a nurse myself however thanks again for your dedication.

Dear Clellnico

Thank you for taking the time to share your appreciation, I will gladly share this. Rapid action in these situations is vital, so it was good to hear that staff were able to deal with the matter quickly and that this in turn had a positive impact on the wider family.

Thank you once again for taking the time to write and I do hope your father makes a speedy recovery.

Regards

Louise Ewing
