Yesterday, the 27th of November I was admitted to the Boothroyd centre for the removal of a tumour from my leg. I was apprehensive at first because we all know the NHS is extremely over worked and I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say that the way I was treated was exemplorary. The staff could not have been friendlier or more pleasant. I was greeted with smiles and politeness everywhere ! I did have quite long waits but that is of course beyond the control of the staff. My operation was done quickly and expertly and the theatre staff were pleasant and extremely friendly and helpful. In recovery the staff were just as pleasant and extremely helpful. It's very easy these days to criticise services which are pressurised almost to the point of collapse, but I would like to give my thanks once again to all the staff who made my visit such a pleasant one. Thank You. Richard Atack
"A very satisfied customer."
