"Difficulty getting x-ray after a fall"

Quite a few weeks ago i finished radiotherapy from Queens Hospital.

I went to Romford market whereupon i had a fall and hurt my knee. It has been playing me up and i have been in pain. i went to my doctors today to have my knee x-rayed at Upney hospital but i was told i had to make an appointment for 10 days time. I told them that i was going on holiday tonight. The man behind the reception said in that case you won't need the appointment. I have always been under the impression that staff doing such an important job such as this should be helpful, not a hindrance.

From Upney, where i was very unhappy with the service (or not a service), my son took me to King George Hospital. Again i was told i would have to make an appointment.

After several minutes of disscusion i was given the x-ray but my results would be sent to my doctors in two weeks. Does this mean i could be walking around with a serious injury for two weeks?
