"you dont have a choice!"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

I hope other new mum's thinking of haveing their baby here don't! Not if you don't want a natural birth any way. Haveing been in Labour for 29 hours no sleep or food! My daughter was told at 5cm dilated she could be moved from postnatal to delivery suite where she could now in next hour or so have the epidural she requested. Examined again at delivery suite told 6 to 7 cm dilated and too late for epidural! My daughter was exhausted confused begged uncontrollably for me to do something so at 9cm I said we were leaving! The gas and air useless other than to Give a major dose of chapped lips! Amazingly enough after screaming I got told she could have epidural at 9cm! I then had to hold still my daughter who is now two hours off the birth and contacting by the second to get this 20min procedure done! So I asked the question why was it too late at 7cm? No answer! The truth was the midwife took it she was copeing and thought she would be pleased that she had done it without the epidural prommoting natural birth! How dare they! How dare they choose how someone has their baby! It ruined what should have been one of the best memories we should have had. Disgusting.
