"Throat Biopsy - Day Care"

I was very pleased with my experience at Spire hospital. An early start (7am), taken straight to my room, which was as good as a hotel room. Very efficient surgery - visit from anaesthetist and consultant by 9am, taken to theatre very shortly afterwards for general anaesthetic and biopsy. I was back in my room by 10.30 am. The lunch I had ordered was brought to me as soon as I wanted it - very well presented. Done and dusted by 12.30pm. Staff were excellent. This "outsourcing" of care to private hospitals by the NHS is excellent. I have experienced it on two occasions at two different hospitals this year.
