I had a hysterectomy on the 21st November 2014 at Leicester General, to say I was scared was an understatement. The sraff on Ward 11 when I first arrived were amazing, talked me through everything and reassured me! At theatre the anaesthetists again were fantastic and put me at ease and my surgeon was just the most wonderful woman I have ever met and clearly a brilliant surgeon with a great personality to boot! Woke up in recovery and was treated very well, a lovely young nurse, I was still woosey but, she knows who she is, stayed with me and offered support after my op, she came with me when I transferred to ward 31. The porters were also great! But Ward 31, where do I begin? The whole team were amazing and words cannot express how valuble their time, patience, skill and understanding were to me during my stay. These nurses were clearly very busy but you would never have known as nothing was ever too much trouble for them. I can only offer my immense gratitude to the team and to the doctor that kept taking my blood at 5:50 am :).... A total credit xx Thankyou to all of you xx you are all amazing!
"Amazing team from start to finish!"
