My 91 hear old father in law was treated in wards C4 and B6 for a month before he died. At all times he was treated with kindness and respect. I was in both wards for long periods of time and never observed any of the patients - some of whom were quite difficult - being treated with anything but respect and consideration. The staff were always available to talk to family members and encouraged us to phone if we couldn't come in. My father in law was always clean, shaven and hair combed and as he grew less able to feed himself was helped with this. I expressed my thanks to staff at the time of his death but would like to express my admiration again for people doing a very difficult job with dedication, professionalism and good humour.
"Thank you"
