"NHS choose and book vs Private"

Myself and my family have used The Woodlands. Since 2003, until very recently this was as private patients with BUPA. Regrettably we no longer have the benefit of BUPA so rely on NHS treatments. Luckily the Woodlands offer NHS Choose and Book which offers NHS treatment in a private hospital. I have has several procedures in recent months and can honestly say there is no difference in treatments or facilities for NHS patients. The admissions office was brilliant, telephoning me and offering to change appointments so that I could see 2 consultants on the same day rather than make 2 journeys. The nursing staff were very attentive and kept me informed at all times. The Consultants were extremely good, explaining the procedures and ongoing treatments in easy to understand detail. Reception staff, Pharamacist etc, etc all brilliant. My day: Arrive at 7.30, 8am seen by nursing staff 9am in theatre for procedure. 10 am back in private room, checked by nursing staff. 10:30 visited by Physio. 11:30 taken to see second consultant for tests. 12:00 back in room, checked by nursing staff and given medication to take home as well as appointments card for future visits. 1pm on my way home. Forgot to say the Hospital is spotlessly clean ! The Woodland hospital is without doubt the best I have ever experienced, I cannot recommend highly enough.
