"Excellent care from nurses, treated like a VIP"

About: Western Isles Hospital / General Surgery

(as a relative),

(On behalf of my aunt) I was admitted to medical 2 of Western Isles Hospital via the Acute Assessment Unit two weeks ago. I was given a blood transfusion and was unfortunately given some bad news after a series of tests.

During my stay, the nurses couldn't have been kinder to me. I was treated like a VIP. The food was also faultless and of restaurant quality. The wards I stayed in were spotlessly clean and staff worked very hard to make sure everything was as it should be. Thank you to everyone who made my stay comfortable.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write on behalf of your aunt, we were pleased to read that your aunt had such a good experience of the care she received when she was with us and we have passed your story to the staff in medical 2.

The dignity and wellbeing of those we care for is at the heart of what we do, and all the staff work very hard to provide care and compassion to all their patients and will appreciate her kind words.

It is a real credit to our staff and service to know that we have met patients expectations.

I wish your aunt well in her recovery.

Best wishes
