"The staff were positive, cheerful, reassuring and showed compassion"

About: Solihull Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I had a diagnostic Laparoscopy on Friday. I found the staff were incredibly caring and went to great lengths to put me at ease. I was sick after my general anaesthetic and it took me a while to shake off the dizziness and be allowed home. The staff were incredibly patient with me and they did not hurry me out, in fact they went to lengths to reassure me there was no hurry. One particular student nurse was fantastic. She was bright and bubbly and was always there to reassure me. I wish politicians could see what fantastic nurses and hospital staff we have. It seems incredible that the Government will not give them the 1% pay rise ( they deserve far more) while bankers get hundreds of thousands in bonuses. The staff were positive, cheerful, reassuring and showed far more compassion, intelligence and knew exactly what a stranger needed. How many politicians and bankers could do a fraction of the wonderful job that these nurses do?
