"Care at Bradford Royal Infirmary - Gastro Unit"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

I was treated incredibly well and supported though invasive procedures with humour and grace.

the staff from the pre assessment to the procedure on the day were friednly, respectful, kind and supportive.

my individual needs were respected and I felt as safe and comfortable as I could, given the nature of the procedure.

even when things were problematic, 3 attempts at inserting a canula (I was dehydrated and anxious) the staff were gentle and tried to make me laugh.

Dear Naomiglow, first of all I am sorry you did not get a response at the time, this was because of a technical fault. We do value all the feedback we get from patients, families and visitors, so please accept my apologies.

I am delighted to hear though that you felt hapy with the care provided in the Gastro Unit, especially when the procedures can be worrying for people.

The kind of attitudes you describe is what we want to see from all our staff, so it is encouraging to hear that this was your experience. Many thanks for taking the time to contact us.
