"Not provided with a sick note"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency New Cross Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was involved in a motorcycle crash with a third party at the start of the month. I was taken to hospital and released the same night. I was asked what my profession was and because I work in an office job it seemed that I was therefore not suitable to have a sick note. I recently returned back to hospital as was still suffering pain from the crash and was told I may have a small crack on my coccyx but was not x-rayed to check. I was given Naproxen and even though I cannot sit properly and have difficulty walking with it I was still not given a sick note. How can I work if I cannot sit properly?
