"Ward B6 -Staff and facilities"

About: Rotherham Hospital

(as the patient),

I checked into Ward B6 in April 2009 for an operation and overnight stay.

The whole experience was five-star from everyone and everything I came into contact with on that day.

The high standards and professionalism gave me courage and a nice feeling of being kept safe. And it is this that facilitated my ability to go home later that day.

Icing on the cake that day? - lots of it. The ward staff with their welcoming friendliness and 'nothing is too much trouble' care. The anaesthetist, who listened and acted to ensure I felt good afterwards, and came to the ward to check for himself. The Theatre sister who came to collect me. The ward cleaner who carried out her duties in a reassuring, thorough way.

Everything was immaculate.

I had been a patient a few years ago, so the above is also based on that experience.

Thank you for being there for me, and, in particular, being there in the way you are now.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on this website and how wonderful to read such positive comments.

I am very pleased that your treatment went well and that you were extremely happy with the care you received.

I have passed your kind words to the Lead Nurse and Clinical Director for ward B6 and I am sure they will be gratefully received by all staff.

Thank you once again for your post.
