Applied for funding on behalf of our son supported and recommended device from his Endocrinologist, specialist nurse and GP plus supporting letters from MP. Son has a permanent long term health condition that can be managed better than at present. funding denied despite huge clinical evidence and reason given from CCG because we don't do funding in this area for that.
Other areas do so to me this is a postcode lottery. Very little additional cost involved and huge health benefits. I feel like we have face lies and stonewalling from their clinical representative. All clinical staff involved in his care are amazed at the response. It is our view their clinical representative putting forward incorrect information. How can these people override clinicians directly involved in care?
