Mum was given poor quality care. Serious mistakes were made. Family treated with disrespect. But most importantly, my elderly mum was treated so badly. I could give you details of the mistakes that were made, but much is personal. In the end, mum died there. Three different departments there have admitted that the care was below an acceptable standard. It took over a year for the hospital to respond to my queries at all. They say they have made changes now in light of what happened to mum, but how can we trust this? No-one should have to go through what mum was put through by that hospital. They eventually said sorry - what good will that do now? They were careless, unprofessional, rude, wrong. Mum died. It should never have happened.

We are very sorry if you felt that we let you and your mother down in her care. From your message it sounds like we have already carried out an investigation. However we were surprised to read that it took a year for us to respond. We endeavour to respond within 25 working days to every concern raised within a complaint. If there are outstanding concerns we will always reinvestigate. We also offer to meet with anyone who is not satisfied with the investigation.
