"Discharged homeless person on back on the street"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

This hospital discharged homeless back on the street. They don't care about people only about funding points. There's no communication between staff, if you are without home because you life didn't progress as you expected - you are second class person. What they did is: book a taxi send you without food, money any treatment to the local council. No one to help as they saying too young for a social services involvement.

We are sorry if you felt that we let you down. Under normal circumstances we would seek to discharge a patient once they are medically fit to do so. For a patient who is homeless this would usually be with support from the local authority. If you felt we failed in our duty of care we would be grateful if you could provide more details to our PALS team (01276 526530, email palsusers@fph-tr.nhs.uk) so that we could investigate further.
